The Kapihan Time Machine - Part I

The first kapihan at the turn of this century

January 1, 2000

On Saturday, September 3, we will celebrate our 300th kapihan, a milestone, being the silver anniversary of the Beta Epsllon Kapihan. It is going to be a fine time to celebrate and brods are encouraged to bring  their Betanettes and Betanaks to join in the celebration. Those who wish to can play badminton, even basketball,  at the facilities to be made available to Betans and their guests by DMCI courtesy of Sid Consunji.

Events like this happen only once so be part of it.

And this digital camera, courtesy of the then BENA, now BEFAAA, captured all the above scenes.

It was top of the line, with a fantastic (at that time) of 1.3 megapixels (Wow!) and several modes. The memory card was 8 MB and the maximum size was 1280 by 960 pixels but I would save only on reso of 640 by 480 to have as many shots as possible before the 8MB card gets filled up.

The camera is now in my baul. It is priceless as a sample of the digital cameras during the ancient age of digital photography.
