Hi Brods,
The grand stag was well attended despite the short notice and the day
being a Thursday. There were the usual spirited chats and laughter, and
welcoming of long lost or visiting brods from abroad. The residents also
invited potentials who were intently listening as Brod Joe Cruz chatted
with them.
Six resident brods were awarded certificates of recognition for excellent
academic performance and were also given cash incentives by the BE FIRST
program.
They were:
1. Kristian Ernest D. Ramos, BE 04B, for SY 07/08, 2nd semester, GPA
1.8611
2. Al Hanz Seiji B. Lidasan BE

The BEAI also announced its fund raising drive via the BE 1st Golf
Tournament to be held March 18 ay Alabang Country Club. Before the stag
night, the Golf Committee have raised already about P250K of hole
sponsorships. Additional pledges/solicitations by brods during the night
amounted to about 120K more. The target net income of the Golf Committe is
a minimum of P 500k net.The proceeds of the fund drive will go to the BE
FIRST program and other projects lined up by the current BEAI board.
MEB Jan Arcinue also thanked those who provided support for and reported
on the hard work the residents are doing to ensure the election of brod RC
Resurreccion as Chair of the Engineering Student Council.
Many thanks to all the brods in attendance and to those who pledged
support/sponsorships for the Golf Tournament to benefit the BE FIRST
program. Special thanks to our stag sponsor Sid Consunji, and Rey Salazar
who arranged for the use and preparation of the venue through his staff in
DMCI Homes.
Brods who brought additional items for the stag were:
1. Paps Cruz 70 who brought 1 case of wine (12 bottles)
2. BEAI Prez Oca Arcinue 70 for fresh Dagupan bangus which was grilled
just before the stag.
3. Ben Tansingco 85 who brought 2 cases of beer (I thought the beer was
enough already before Ben brought his, but nonetheless all were consumed
by the residents...they have special talents...malakas ng kumain, malakas
ding uminom, kahit may classes pa the next day...di bale, basta mataas pa
rin ang grades....he-he-he)
Visiting brods were Chito Calingo 73 from Fresno, California (he will be
DALS speaker on Monday, Feb 14 at UPCOE-Melchor Hall), and Melvin Castro
78 from Vancouver, Canada.
Rarely seen brods in attendance : Dama Cid 85, and Doods Mir 87..and we
hope to see more of you in the future.
Pictures to follow from Mon Ramirez.
MABUHAY ANG BETA EPSILON!!!!
Ojie 74
Addendum.......BONG TIAMSIC, failed to attend, but he sent 200 pcs of
balut....many thanks Bong.

Two resident brods take an
admiring look at the certificate awarded to Brod Al Hanz. Now, Bros, you
can also easily get one and the cash gift this semester. Just study well
your lessons.
If MEB Jan could get for 3
semesters GPAs of 1.39, 1.63, 1.88 and qualified as University and College
Scholar certainly you can also do it. |
